220250909 Let Go of My Will and Let God Work

Last night, I was busy running around, exhausted and constantly trying to hold on. I'd asked my child several times to hang out the laundry, but he still hadn't done it. In the past, I'd just endured it myself, sulking in anger. (I've learned not to get angry or use force to force him to obey.)
However, this time, I wondered: By not letting go and helping him, am I actually harming him?
Another voice was: Love is patient and hopeful. We should do it willingly, for the Lord, without complaining. Let God work.
Amidst this tangle of thoughts and emotions, I saw my puppy spill his food again. I used to get upset and pick the food back into the bowl, nagging and scolding him, but this was always an ineffective and repetitive response. The puppy didn't change at all, continuing to do his own thing.
Both the child and the puppy were equally disobedient! The puppy even bit my finger, drawing blood, because I touched its food. The child also said he hated me after being spanked for disobeying me. These heartbreaking experiences taught me to stop acting on my own will.
At that moment, the Lord spoke to me. He told me not to rush to put the dog food back in the bowl, but to accept, tolerate, and be patient. He told me: "The puppy will eat it all up soon, so I don't need to worry about it."
God told me to let go of my own will and let the Lord control everything. Everything in the world has its time and its own way. I should accept the present situation and not rush to control others to act according to my will. Instead, I should trust, entrust, and joyfully look forward to the Lord, patiently waiting for good things to happen.
The puppy actually ate it all up. The next day, the child hung out the clothes.
Lord! How I need to constantly fear You, waiting for Your guidance, and let Your love and peace remain in my heart.
James 3:17 But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. 3:18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
Psalm 37:5 Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will act.
