Love me, Lord, I really love you. Love me, Lord, I really love you. Love me, Lord, I really love you.

Oh New Jerusalem

The pupil of my eye

You are my darling that I long for

Oh New Jerusalem

The pupil of my eye

You are my masterpiece

I paid the price of blood to get you

I hope you know my deep love

I give myself to you

I hope you can accept my love

I have great power and I have great virtue

I betroth you to my wife with everlasting love

I delight in you, I long for you

I won't rest until I get you.

In ancient times, the Lord appeared to Israel and said: I have loved you with an everlasting love, therefore I have drawn you with lovingkindness. (Jeremiah 31:3 NIV)

The LORD found him in the wilderness, a desolate, howling land; he surrounded him and watched over him; he kept him as the apple of his eye. (Deuteronomy 32:10 NIV)

"After he has appeared in glory, he will send me to punish the nations that have plundered you captives," says the LORD of hosts. "Whoever touches you touches the apple of his eye." (Zechariah 2:8 NIV)

As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people from this time on and forever. (Psalm 125:2 NIV)

I will betroth you to me forever; I will betroth you to me in righteousness, in justice, in kindness, in compassion; (Hosea 2:19 NIV)

And I will betroth you to me in truth: and you shall know me, the LORD. (Hosea 2:20 NIV)

The Lord your God is the Lord, a mighty one who saves. He will rejoice over you with joy in your midst, and will keep silent in his love for you; he will rejoice over you with singing. (Zephaniah 3:17 NIV)

For he says, "In an acceptable time I have heard you, and in a day of salvation I have rescued you." Behold, now is the acceptable time! Now is the day of salvation; (2 Corinthians 6:2 NIV)

I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they will never keep silent day or night. You who call on the LORD, do not give up, (Isaiah 62:6 NIV)

And give him no rest, until he establishes Jerusalem and makes it a praise in the earth. (Isaiah 62:7 NIV)
