Be resolute and resolute in your death to self → never indulge or compromise → only then can you follow the Lord!

Otherwise, you will only continue to wander the wilderness → ultimately die there → and never enter the Promised Land!

Jesus then said to the crowds, "If anyone wants to come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me." (Luke 9:23 NIV)

"If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple." (Luke 14:26 NIV)

Following the Lord comes at a real cost!

It is of this kind that they creep into homes and capture ignorant women, laden with sins, led away by various lusts, ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
